TRICHOLOGY is the science of hair and clinical trichology is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the scalp and hair. Trichologists employ the same diagnostic procedures as their medically qualified colleagues, and by and large, use traditional dermatological treatments and approaches.

Society of Cosmetic Scientists Susan Devenish Mutton is pleased to announce that she has become an associate member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists. The unique position of being a cosmetic scientist and trichologist including being registered with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) gives Susan the licence to diagnose, manufacture, and treat patients with a suitable medicated or cosmetic preparation.
